Last reflection

Maybe my reflection is the last reflection on this blog
I am very happy because I got PETA class with Mrs.Mima, she is so kind, funny and can make PETA class be interesting. I can believe that PETA class is over because I don't feel bored and I enjoy it. Through PETA class I know that assessment is not easy and it is the big important part in learning. As a good educator I can assess my students subjectively but I have to clearing the assessment instruments so students feel fairness in my class.
The subjectivity in learning can make students think that their lecturer is not fair and it can give big impact in students' behavior and self-esteem. Hence I have not only focus on understanding of content but also think by students' perspective.
All about everything above, I learned in PETA class and I would like to give a big thanks for Mrs.Mima and my friends who can make me feel comfort and interest in PETA class in this semester.

MY last reflection

This week is the last week of course PETA. Does not feel one semester and I have friends in section A PETA course. Well, this looks very short but we have struggled together in this course. Upsss .. but our struggle is not over ya. One more step in the final examination which we have to do micro teaching. Hmmm .. Do the best for micro teaching guys ...

Me and Maria have created lesson plans that will be used for micro teching later. And this week we were really glad to perform simulations of micro teaching it in front of the class. With that, I was able to predict whether all the activities I would do in micro teaching could proceed smoothly. Well, certainly there are still shortages in some parts. However, that's the benefit of the simulation this week. So that at the time of the actual micro teaching could be better. Alhamdulillah, Mrs. Mima already provide some feedback on the lesson plans we make. Thanks Mrs. Mima

Which still makes me confused is how to differentiate the learning objective indicators. However, Mrs Mima has explain it again you must turn indicator refers to the basic competencies. Sedangakan learning objective refers to the standard of competence.

Thanks for all your friends in Section A and especially for our beloved BU Lecturer Mima. I learned a lot from this course PETA. Starting from the method of learning, how to create rubrics to make a lesson plan. And still others banyaka which I can not express one-one. Hopefully I've got to my advantage when I became a teacher later

The last reflection

I’m sorry before because I’m late to send my reflection.

In the last meeting of PETA class, we performance our lesson plan to prepare our micro-teaching. Mrs. Mima gave me their comment about the lesson plan and the performance. It helps me actually, because I could know what things that must improved. It will make me performance better.

But isn’t just about micro teaching, I like hear what Mrs. Mima said for us. Thank you.

Just this is my reflection. Because the last meeting was the last session of PETA class so, I couldn’t say more.

Is it last Reflection, Right?

That was last meeting in PETA class. Thank you all.. I don’t know I have to write, certainly I have a lot of lesson from this class.  I don’t really believe that time was fly. I enjoy with this class, with my friend and the lecturer. Although that was last meeting, but for me one semester with PETA course it is not really enough, I have to learn more and more to be new generation of educator.
PETA class is ended, we have UAS. Microteaching! Yeah, that was final assessment for PETA class. I have to apply some of the material which is related to the microteaching. I already know what kind of effective teacher. So, I have to practice what I have learn in PETA class or the experience when team teaching. Practice make perfect. So, I have to practice a lot if I want the microteaching later is best. My partner and I will do the best for the future.
I love all. Thank you Miss. Mima, I will miss you so much. You are have apply the enjoy class when you lecturing and I have learn a lot. You are make me spirit of my dreams.  J

Ahmad Apriyanto's Reflection

The last meeting of PETA course, time flies! It's sad enough because I will have no PETA course anymore (but I don't want to repeat this course next year, aamiin). My friend and I did micro teaching about Inequalities. Some important things that I learned from our lesson plan are:

Last Session in PETA Class

Monday, 16 January 2012 was last session in PETA class. I feel time is flying, tomorrow I will have final exam for the third semester. For PETA course, I will have microteaching test. In this test, I have to implement what I have learned in PETA class. My pair and I try to implement group discussion and lecture discussion in our microteaching.
Last week in PETA, class we did not learned about material. We tried microteaching. Each team got ten minutes. Then we got feedback from our lecture. It was very useful. With this activity, I could learn many things from the other team. From that activity, I also know that we have to be selective when we choose model instruction or assessment for students. Sometimes, a model of instruction is good to implement in a topic but is not good to implement in the other topic.
Feedback from my lecture also helps my pair and me to revise our lesson plan. My pair and I make a mistake in our learning outcomes. Mrs.Mima said that we have to make our learning outcomes more general. She said that our learning outcomes just some like our indicators. I hope my pair and I can revise our lesson plan well, and we can do the best in our microteaching later.
I get many experiences during PETA class in this semester.  It was about how to become a good and professional teacher. I enjoy PETA class.

Thanks you Bu Mima for sharing your knowledge to me. JJJ
Thanks you Section A. Good Luck for our microteaching. J

Last Meeting

This week is the last meeting PETA course. At this meeting, we all do micro teaching in preparation for future examination. At the time of micro teaching, we are judged by Mrs. Mima. When doing micro teaching, I have a deficiency at the time of delivering the material. I think that often times do I have to micro teaching, because by doing so I can teach well.         PETA courses provide instruction that is very useful for me. By following the course, I get the means to be an objective teacher. I am pleased to follow this course even though some time I never sleepy in class. In addition, I am pleased with the variety of delivery methods used at present that material. I hope all the knowledge I have gained in the MAP course I can apply in education.

PETA COURSE

This is the last week we learn PETA course in the third semester. I feel happy because Ms.Mima has taught us more about effective teaching and assessment. I know more about that because of her. Now, I know how to manage the classroom, model of instruction in teaching and give assessment. Then, I know how to give score to the students, so I can give score objectively. There are so many steps to give scoring them performance. It depend of the form perform. For example, if the students do presentation or performance I give assess with rubric and if it is written test I can use checklist to give score.
In this class also make me comfort when I learn in the class. The teacher gives question and all of us free to give opinion. There are many activities in group in the classroom that make us always together. There is any practice in the class if we have to perform. For example, next week we have to perform teaching in the classroom. Then, we practice in the classroom and the teacher gives us feedback to be better. All of us practice in the classroom and we can see the progress from us to teaching the student.
But, I also feel sad because this is the last meeting for us in the class PETA. Hopefully, what did you give to me can I apply in my life. And also, I can make a different in teaching, so my students not boring when I teach them because of the various methods in learn. I believe that education can make Indonesia better and it is start for me as a future teacher.

Dasrizal's 12 (last) reflection

Is This a Reflection (12)?
Twelve sessions have been faced. Last week was a precious moment of PETA session. It was the last meeting of the course. In fact, the session was used only for role play based on the lesson plan which had been prepared. The lecturer sat on a seat in the corner of the room. Then while the role play was holding, she was busy to write many things on our lesson plan print-out.
My partner and I did not get big comment from her, and we kept working for the improvement of the lesson plan. Hope we’re gonna present something cool in the final exam.
In this reflection, I actually don’t want to say many things about last meeting. However, since this is the end of the PETA course session, I want to tell a bit my feeling along the session.
·         Lecturer
Honestly, I am really happy to have Miss Mima as my PETA lecturer. She is funny (but this doesn’t make her seems like a clown :P ). The class where I can have fun in understanding a course is only here. Otherwise, Miss Mima does really master the course. She never judges my opinion. Even when I recognize my opinion is not right, she never judges it, but she offers another solution of my thought.
·         Assignment
I think it’s been a public secret that SSE is really ‘crazy’ in giving assignment. However, in PETA course, I don’t get exaggerating number of assignment. The assignment is only to write reflection weekly. And you know what; I like this since in this reflection, I can write anything with no scientifically format!!!!
:D
·         Content
I do appreciate SSE which gives this course for me in my third semester. I get many information, knowledge, and inspiration when I’m becoming a teacher. I remember many things here: Teaching Methods, Taxonomy Bloom, Multiple Intelligences, Type of Assessment, Lesson Plan, and many more.
All in all, the course is done, but the knowledge and the moments of each session won’t be forgotten easily. I want to say thank you to Miss Mima for guiding me to be a good candidate of teacher. And for you guys, who have been a kind friend in the journey of the session.
Guys, you know what? This is the most emotional reflection I create in PETA course. Then I think that this reflection answers my all reflection: YES! THIS IS A REFLECTION!
:D

IT IS NOT THE LAST REFLECTION!

Last meeting? OH! Time is running too fast! It seems like my reflection will be full of sad. Sad because it is the last meeting. I still do not realize that it is the last meeting in PETA class. It is not kinda exaggerated.

Well, if it is the last meeting in PETA class, does it mean the last blogging in this account? If it does, I hope it is not the last reflection because to be a good teacher, we need to reflect about what we have done in every single time!

So many knowledges, so many experiences, and also so many laugh  in PETA class. You know what? I feel so comfortable in this class, I dunno why. I just feel that. That is all. I think it is because Miss Mima has successed transfering all of materials in this class. She never makes me bored in this class. Ya, she has successed transfering all of materials in this class.

In the last meeting, My friends and I tried to implement our lesson plan for microteaching. Ya, we always do it in PETA class, but the difference is it is a kinda practise for our microteaching. Miss Mima has given feedback about our lesson plan. She said that we still need to know more about learning objectives and indicators. Ya, I admit that I still confused to distinguish between learning objectives and indicators. I will learn it more :)

That practise made me better and believe that I can do the best in final exam. Amin! Thank you for Miss Mima who has given me so many knowledges about effective teaching and also assessment. This class makes me know that I do still learn more to be a good teacher. Thank you All. :)

Success for us! Good luck!

THANKS ALL

In the last week of PETA class I felt unwell and actually I want to absent this time. But, I know this is in the end of class PETA and I do not want to miss this moment. Another that, at the time there are microteaching activities and I with my partner need feedback about activities in the lesson plan so that I went in the classroom.
As usual PETA class with Mrs. Mima always is fun. Alternately I and my friends have microteaching practice in preparation for final exam. After that, Mrs. Mima gives feedback on lesson plans that will be used. My lesson plan got comment in indicators and she is like we using PPT that show the learning outcomes of the lesson. Whereas the activity in the lesson plan, for students doing group discussion students sharing from each their place about the result of their discussion in one forum. Because the time is 25 minute and I also I do not know who will be the students in the microteaching later. Also that day was my first time doing microteaching in the PETA class with full English and it’s not hard I just need to practice and more confidents. All friends who are also giving enthusiastic and good cooperation in order microteaching process can proceed smoothly. I hope in microteaching later on when the final exam is also walking better and I was able to perform optimally.
In that time I felt, time passes to quickly. I am so happy in the class PETA and Thank you to Mrs. Mima for your guidance a long semester 3 and as one model of a good teacher that make students enjoy in the classroom. and also thank you guys and good luck for our final exam :)

P.E.T.A.

It’s hard to say goodbye, but it must. Last week is the last meeting in PETA course. All of us do really love PETA, right? I remember when the first time I hear PETA course, I just think for a while “ oh, that’s a pedagogical course, is that course would be bored or not” but in fact, that’s really a fun course, the content course is a bit hard I think, but Miss Mima can bring that to be more easily to understand.
Last week we have tried to implement our lesson plan in front of the class. When I tried to reflect to myself, I know that I was too hurry when do the micro teaching because I panic when the time is limited into 10 minutes, but in real micro teaching, I promise to myself and my partner of course to do the best that I can. There are so many think that we (Siluth and I) must prepare and improve, we will improve our performance, content, and also our language and our mental. May be something that Siluth and I don’t do yet is preparing the assessment tool, we still try to find out the proper assessment tool, actually we want to implement either bloom taxonomy or multiple intelligences but we still confused to put it in our lesson plan. We will try it.
I think that’s all about my reflection, actually I want to say thank you very much to Bu Mima who give me chance to be a leader. I am sorry if I have so many mistake for all of you.
I hope that we can do our best,.
Good Luck
