Effective Teaching and Effective Teacher For a Better Education

How to teach well

                After the end of the class, I am more interested to learn how to teach well. Actually I think that mathematics material that I have got is enough to create an effective teaching. However, teaching is not only about how we make our students understand about our lesson, it’s also how we make the lessons are well delivered. While delivering the lesson, there are many things that we need to control, such as the class conditions, the students attention and the ongoing activities. Class needs them to create an effective teaching and effective teachers.

Really, after the first meeting in PETA class, I learn more about the strategy of teaching. Not only students who need to think critically during the lesson, but teachers need to do it too. To create an effective teaching and learning, we need to keep the rules in the class. The rules of the class can be no mobile phone during the lesson, be on time, classroom management, and positive climate. During those rules are kept well, hoped the class will be conducive and the activities are worked as wished.

However, effective teaching also needs an effective teacher. Effective teacher should care, full of motivation (keeping self-esteem the students), and also mastery the lesson well. Teachers should be creative and interactive, so that the climate of the class is positive and stay conducive. Both of effective teaching and effective teacher are so strong related.  In fact, teachers are not only teaching what they should teach, however teachers also should take care of the students’ development.

Hopefully through this course (PETA), SSE’s students are not only being a smart teacher but also a creative and caring full teacher for a better education in Indonesia.
