Practices Again

A good teacher is a teacher who is concerned with the needs of students in learning. As we know students have different levels of intelligence and how to cover all those differences in learning in the classroom.  So, the all of students understand the materials. In PETA class in this week I have learned more about the different instruction material, because in the last week this material does not clear in my mind.  Different instruction can we uses in the classroom to see how extent the student’s ability to understand the material. After that, teacher can divided the students in group according with their ability. Teacher can gives different instruction to each group according their level ability, as we know the instruction for the high ability is different with low ability. It is not easy to do, because this is like teacher to under estimate the ability of the students with the grouping likes that. To avoid this, teacher should be provide an explanation first to the students about the purpose of this grouping. And then the students know if the grouping of the based on ability level is to help students more easily understand the lesson.
In addition, I also learned about multiple intelligences and bloom’s Taxonomy. Multiple intelligences consist of linguistic, body kinesthetic, logic mathematic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, visual-spatial, and natural. And for Bloom’s Taxonomy consists of knowledge/comprehension, application, analysis, and synthesis. We can make instruction in classes that can cover all the capability of these students. So, that all students can learn and understand the lesson according to the ability and students level.
Actually in this reflection I write more about multiple intelligences. For example when we learn about the probability we can make some different activity in class that can be selected by the students that they like.  Therefore, the students that he could learn mathematics although they likes calculate for example probability material. For the students who likes dance, they can calculate the changes or probability of the winning Master dance in performing arts or who students could likes play music or singing can calculate the number of possibilities a singer to sing everyday and other activity again that related with the material.
To apply these methods in the classroom is not easy a lot of preparation needed by teacher to able to make an instruction to the students.  As well as the assignment for the students should have the same difficulty level. But all can be learned and practice again. Like we felt when school experience in the past week, applying a theory is not easy as we learn it. We need lots of practices and understand again. So, this is our Job as the new generation of teacher from SSE. Let’s practice again!

  1. Great reflection Asih, I agree with your statemnet "To apply these methods in the classroom is not easy a lot of preparation needed by teacher to able to make an instruction to the students" and I guess our frinds have also agree with that XD

Yuo gave an example of using MI, but I still don't get the point, would you explain more Asih?

    Thanks :D

  2. Thanks Mamed for your comment :)
about example of using MI in learning process Means thats Aswe know every student has their intelligence and it's not all the same. Of course this will affect the way of thinking and the way they understand the lesson is differ. especially in math. for students who are bright in Logic Mathematics certainly not a problem, but for students who is weak in the field it is bound to run into trouble. for that teacher is expected to make a different instruction for example by applying the MT. Where teachers who already familiar with intelligence students can create different instructions that can help students understand the lesson. for example, as I mentioned above. Teacher can make many activity that can selected by students according their intelligence. Thank you..:)
