Wow! Last Monday was the second session of PETA. And you know what? It was totally cool. We watched a video which showed a teaching and learning process in a classroom. The topic was TEMATIK. It took Math and Social Science to be combined in that method. The most important of the session was that we had to review what the video had explained. We looked for the strengthens and weaknesses of the video, we thought fantastically! We related the content of the video to the topic of last session about the effective teacher. I know that it is easy to theory, to criticize something. However, if we never criticize something, it means that we do not use our brain improperly and critically.
Well, the next activity was to create a scenario of a teaching and learning. It was fun since we shared and discussed how to create something goodly even though the result will be explained next week. We can’t wait any longer, can we?
If I am asked, “How were the activities in our session” I totally will say it was fascinating. I can’t expect more, even though I realize that we will get more fascinating experience by the time goes by.
Finally, here is the reflection from what I have learned last session. To be a teacher in the classroom, we have to be well prepared, and then we need to realize that we have to consider many things to do in classroom. We cannot only prepare many activities and let the students get nothing about the content.
