Reflection for Models of Instruction (1) Session

          Actually, models of instruction are many models. There are four big branches, direct instruction, lecture-discussion, guided discovery and group interaction which develop cooperative learning such  cognitive research, understanding by design, multiple intelligences.

             Direct instruction and lecture discussion more emphasize active teaching. In this situation, teacher more active for their students. The process of  learning focus from teacher to students and from students to their teacher. It are different with guided discovery and group interaction that emphasize active learning. In this type, teacher more emphasize active learning. So, the interaction of student more active. Not only from teacher to student and contrary but also students to students. Student learn just not from their teacher, but from their friend or the other media like computers, internet, newspaper etc.
            Now, I know some of type models of learning. I hope it are more help me as next teacher in Indonesia to implement my knowledge. And it are help us when we find problems to teach on day.

  1. yes Imam,... well, after we learn about Model instruction, then we should be able to determined what the appropriate model instruction which we will deliver to the students to make active learning and the learning objective achieved. This is our jobs, guys... :)
