I am very pleased to hear stories that impressive from friends about their experiences during the school experience. Some were told to teach all of a sudden, one of the schedules and so on. Base on my friends story, we are many who use teaching methods that we have learned during the two campuses such as staying 3 stray, round robin, gallery walk, group discussions and group presentations. Because we apply active learning methods inginmencoba in class when learning mathematics. But it turns out that for high school students that we teach not that familiar with the methods we use, so some students become confused and even a classroom atmosphere that is not controlled. Well, because each class of students numbering about 40.
One in my view, the identical active learning with students moving (dynamic) or not static, panel presentation and wearing flip-chart. Well, when reflected last week, I figured out that active learning should not be like what I mentioned above. In addition, I also have a lot to provide exercises for students, for students to see or guess the types of problems and solutions.
Ehmm, teachers who inspired me was a charismatic teacher. Being a charismatic teacher who I think is difficult. Charisma is also not easy to make. Charismatic teacher who can also make students more easily followed and listened to teachers explain the material. However, charisma must also be balanced with a good mastery of the material and how the delivery of good material. And no less importantly, teachers must also be able to assess students with the goal. However, in reality many times my high school teachers assess whether students are namely subjective closely with parents, family ties even worse because the bribed with money. Wow, how do you think about this? Supposedly, what appropriate action to solve it?

Hehehe... I know about that. That was not going fluently because of unfamilar things. that's common happening in state school that is still using a curriculum based. keep effort to show the best way.
ReplyDeletehehehe, when I read your reflection in first paragraph, I realized that I also feel like that. in the first taught, I used many teaching methods but it makes the students uncontrolled. why? because at that time I felt nervous. but in the second taught, it was different. I used many various method too, but I tried to relax. finally the students can controlled. So, I think we can using various teaching methods although the students are consist of 40 students

ReplyDeletewe have learn various of leraning strategies so, we want to applied it in the real situation of school, but not all of activities can effective, i think so, they are unfamiliar with active learning. that's our job, make a difference. keep spirit :)
