In PETA class yesterday I and my friends discuss
again about rubric. If in last week we create and use rubric in microteaching,
then this week we discuss the result of the rubric. I think not easy to make rubric
assessment, my rubric that I made with my group there are still many failed. The
failed is on the content and instruction or presentation. The words that I used
in this rubric have not clearly assessed and subjective words. In addition, my
friends that doing microteaching who we have assessed using my rubric didn’t
know what the aspects are assessed from the rubric so that the value of my friends
is not maximized. So it will be very useful if the teacher gives the rubric
assessment in the early to students .
After that, we also mention about the analytic
and holistic assessment. Analytic assessment is assessments that prefer the final
result of the assessment but the holistic assessment while assess the final and
also the process of the students doing assessment. This is the way to anticipate
the diligent students but sometimes less fortunate for the topic of learning
and for students who have different abilities with their friends in some of the
topic material. For example some students who make an exhibition with many
difficulties but it appear the students were nervous so the result is less
satisfactory. Now to appreciate the hard work of the students, teacher could use
a holistic rubric assessment. As for the analytic assessment, my lecture Bu
Mima gave me some of the example one of that is pencils as the product from
students that should be assess using rubric. For example how many item can enter
in the box of the pencil or how to bring it is simple or not. Honestly, PETA
class is always exciting and unfortunately if I absent I the class then I can lose
a lot of exciting story and interesting information about teaching and learning
process. The next, class continued with the exercise make microteaching lesson
plan for the preparation of the final exam later.
