The
last meeting of PETA course, we had to make a rubric of assessment for
assessing our friend who did microteaching. In my opinion, making a rubric has
many difficulties; one of them is to make a criterion that I had to
assess. When I assessed some friends who
did microteaching in front of the class, I realized that there were many
criteria that had to be improved from the rubric that I made. The lack of
criteria in my assessment caused a guessing assessment or subjective assessing.
Based on this experience, I
know that the usage of assessment rubric will be better if the teacher shows
the rubric first to the students. It has a purpose for the students to know
what the criteria that the teacher will be assessed. Therefore, the students
will prepare the preparation as good as possible.
Why I can reflect this case,
it is because my friends who did microteaching did not the criterion that I had
to assess. Therefore, they will present their work maximally.

ReplyDeleteI agree with u that teacher should give the rubric to the student before they assess students product or anything that will assessed. Because it can help students to achieve all of the criteria which will assessed.
