How do I become an effective teacher? Why do I become a teacher?

    What is PETA? PETA is Principles of Effective Teaching and Assessment. What will I do in this course? I will learning how do I become an effective teacher and something like that. That is my guess in the first time when I joined PETA’s class. My guess was correct. However, whether is become an effective teacher easy? not easy but nothing impossible I think.
     Last Monday, the lecturer asked us to join each group and we are asked her to list characteristics of effective teacher, theoretically is easy to list that. However, to do it not easy and wanted for prepare well for that.
How do become an effective teacher ? The points are we have to:
  • Well – prepared
  • Creative – using variety of teaching methods
  • Objective – clear assessment method
  • Good personality
  • Understand our students
       I never thought being a teacher actually. Therefore, when the lecturer asked “who want to be a teacher?” I didn’t raise hand. My dream job being a japan translator. Before I study in SSE, Being teacher is a job that nothing special I think Eye rolling smile. However, since I study education in SSE, I do want being a teacher and I do love being a teacher Smile.
       The lecturers, friends, and the others inspired me that the teacher is not the job that nothing special but the teacher is challenge. The teacher is a educator, a motivator, a psychologist, and a genuine learner. I hope this course can help me to prepare being an effective and super teacher to face future Smile

    So do I Day :)
    To become a teacher is not my dream,
    but, it doesn't mean we can not to be a teacher.
    by help our lecturer in SSE, you can to be a super teacher to face future :)
    by the way, what do you mean "super teacher"?

    Yes, to become a teacher involved many another job, become a teacher sometimes we like psychologist, scientist, actress, presenter and everything as necessary. so, It is very challenge.

    Super teacher that I mean is same like great teacher. A great teacher not only being an effective teacher but can being a educator, a psychologist, a motivator, and a genuine teacher I think.
