I don't knew what is PETA? And for what study PETA? But at the first time studied PETA. I knew PETA like as study about how to become a good teacher, make effective teaching and assessment. That day l studied about effective and ineffective teaching in the class. So fun and interested because i got new knowledge from the lecture and my friend. We are shared together and make conclusion. The characteristics effective teacher are well-prepared, creative- using variety of teaching methode, objective, good personality (humor,..), and so on. The characteristics of ineffective teacher are bad prepared, not creative, subjective and so on. Of course personality teacher like as humor from issue 1 is important for make student relax and fun in class, but don’t forget if over using humor in class may be it will make ineffective class like as student more like humor then study.
After class the end , i have one question about traditional teaching methode and modern teaching methode. I think both methode of teaching have weakness and strength. why we not combine traditional teaching methode with modern teaching methode? If make combine both teaching methode, may be we can make very effective teaching. ^_^????? Do you agree?
I think the traditional teaching more weakness then the modern teaching. But without the conscious development of modern teaching comes from traditional teaching. For example in implementing modern teaching methods sometimes we also use lecture, not discuss,and so on. To create effective teaching, it depends on the teacher’s expertise when creating teaching strategies. So now, spirit study PETA for make good strategies teaching and effective teaching. ^_^

ReplyDelete- Agree about not over to be a humorous teacher. Too much humor = inactive teaching
- Agree to combine traditional and modern teaching. As a math teacher, we have to teach them about the concept, it really needs a traditional teaching (lecturing), then we have to practice with the modern teaching.
- Agree to spirit for PETA class, it will prepare us to be a good teacher with an effective teaching and assessment. :D
well, that is what we get in SSE that combining two methods in teaching and learning, right? even when we are becoming a Math teacher, lecturing is really needed to deliver the materials. if students are only asked to find it themselves from beginning, i am afraid students will call us a irresponsible teacher. haha
