October 9, 2011, in PETA class we did micro teaching. We divided into 6 groups and each group must perform some micro teaching based on lesson plan that we make on previous meeting. When one group perform, and other groups must guessing for the model instruction that him use based on the model instruction that we learned on the previous meeting. My group performed for the last. Actually, when I perform, I will used direct instruction, but I don’t know why, it change be lecture discussion. Surely, almost all of my friends using lecture discussion. I don’t know how can it happened. This model instruction may also be used in teaching process later when I be a teacher.
At the end of the lesson, Ms. Mima explained us about some tricks to face some conditions that maybe happened in teaching process later when we are be a teacher. Start from how to deal with students who very quiet, students who have IQ is more than the others, etc. I hope all the material that I learned in PETA class can I use in teaching process later when I’m be a teacher, and for the first step I can implement the material that I get in PETA class for teaching assistant.
