At second meeting in PETA class, my friends and I learned about effective and ineffective lesson with Mrs. Mima. Firstly, Mrs. Mima gave a movie about Tematik’s class in elementary school. That movie contains about a teacher who gave her lesson for the students. She gave various topics such as counting of numbers, family members, and colors. My opinion about that movie is the teacher has effective and ineffective lesson.
Why I said that the teacher has effective lesson, because she could asked them for follow her lesson. The teacher gave itself songs and sings together with her students and asked them learned in outdoor. I think it was interesting for the students in elementary school. But unfortunately, in the last meeting, she made them bored because she gave telling story without made them involved, so it was very bored even some of them sleepily when hear that story. When watched that movie, I just realized that being a teacher is not easy.
After saw that movie, Mrs. Mima said that the teacher must have a lesson plan. Lesson plan is scenario for the way of classroom teaching and learning. Mrs. Mima tell that lesson can be effective because designing instruction, there are group discussion, Understanding by Design (UbD), and bloom’s taxonomy.
I thought Mrs. Mima is a teacher who gave effective lesson. She involved us as a students with gave a video at first meeting. It was interesting for us. After that she was lecturing us about Lesson Plan. She tells her experiences about how to make a lesson plan. She also divided us for some groups, and we must try to make a lesson plan. After that, we discussed about our lesson plan, and indirectly made us being active for express our opinion.
I always thought that lesson plan is not important, but actually it’s very important. Indeed make a lesson plan is not easy, but it is very helpful for a teacher to manage the way of teaching and learning activities (although sometimes while teaching is not appropriate with the lesson plan). And today, I must happy for making a lesson plan ^_^”

I also used to think that lesson plan is not really important. but now, I realize that i will confuse if i teach without lesson plan.

One the most favorite teacher in that school tell me that lesson plan is not important because without lesson plan she can transfer her knowledge well but in my perception the class activities is not ordered, the students like her because she is so funny. There is not has a related with the course. So, lesson plan is very important :D
