A third meeting on the PETA course, I learned about the model of learning instruction. Several models of learning instruction that we can use later to teach in the classroom are a direct instruction, group interaction, lecture discussions, and guided dsicovery. Well, in the use of models of instruction, depending on the material that we will teach. We also should not be pegged on a single model of learning instructions, but we can combine more than one model of learning instruction.
Model of learning instruction, which until now I think is very helpful is group interaction. I can get it when in calculus 1 and 2 course. Group interaction in a subject is presented in the form of TGT (Team Games Tournament) and also peers tutorial. In the TGT we are in for a few groups where each group member has different levels intellegency. Here we can avoid the flagrant lack of competition of competition among students who are smart and less smart. Students who are smart can guide or assist students who are less smart. Yeah, I feel comfortable while studying with a peers tutorial. Since I am also not ashamed to ask when getting a learning difficulty. I also dare to issue my opinion as long as we do group activities. With the group's interaction, I can go deeper in the material, I am better value and can exchange information.

About your question, in my opinions group interaction is a good models of instruction, but depend on the materials. So, if we become a teacher, we can not using models of instruction only one models of instruction :)
ReplyDeleteI think competition is good as long as it can develop our ability . We don't have to avoid it. Competition doesn't mean we can't help each other, it can increase our motivation. especially, for school students.
