13th Reflection

“Please do exercise on page 34 and collect the result to my desk!”, “What do you know about different instruction?” There are examples the ways to collect data about understanding students and when the teachers will assess our students. Like in our last meeting in PETA class the ways to collect data are oral questioning, student products and using observation. That is one of discussion in our meeting about the role of assessment in supporting teaching and learning. Here I do not tell about that things because we have done accept the material from Bu Mima, right? Also I believe you are more understood than me.
Sure every session we get the new thing material about PETA course. All of discussion interesting and important but the most I interested when Bu Mima explain about standards-based model.  One of two figures to shows how models of instruction and assessment are related. The form of standards-based model is plan an instruction, teach, after that assess, so in here which different with conventional model. After teacher assess the students then look at result of assessment even, teacher teach and assess again. That is which attractive because teacher can learn from previous assessment. After that process we have 2 chose that are move to the next instruction and give feedback to students. So, I more like standards-based model than conventional model. How about you?
When Bu Mima explained the material I felt she would exploit the use of ppt. So, I much wrote what is in the ppt. Then when I saw the module it turns out what I write goes there. I am aware again that we must read the material before teaching and learning process. So, if I read before I do not need to write again. Beside that I can more focus and have preparation to learn.
That is my reflection for 13th meeting. Again and again I believe we are can be the next generation of teacher who can jar the world :)
