ASSESSMENT

            This is my eight reflections. This reflection will be about assessment. Last week in PETA class, I had learned about assessment. We discuss about assessment as learning, assessment for learning and assessment of learning. Honestly, I do not understand about that. I just thinking that the differences between three kinds of assessment is assessment as learning will be use for teacher to give students’ score. Assessment for learning will be use for reflection for students, so students will be reflect their ability and they can develop their ability. Assessment of learning is about the strategies to know the way that can make students easier to understand.

            Assessment is not about the result of final exam or midterm exam, it also about the process. How students can solve the problem and understand about the concept. Actually, I do not agree with multiple-choice test. It will be unfair for students if their teachers assess them from that test. With multiple-choice test, we cannot measure students understanding. We do not understand the way students get their answer. We have to know the way students get their answer. It will be helping us to know about students’ ability and it can be reflection for teacher.

In my opinion, we have to combine three kind of assessment if we become a teacher later, it will be fairer for our students.
