Last week in PETA Class, I had learn about assessment, again and again discussion
about assessment. Why the material assessment is not enough in one session ? it
is because, is not easy to learn all the assessment, there are many kind
assessment and the characteristics of assessment which is must to know.
There are 3 domains of classroom assessment, cognitive, affective, psychomotor.
Cognitive related to the knowledge the student and affective is ongoing process
related to the attitude. Based on my experience, the affective assessment is
not important when I was register to the university, because the university
just see the score of knowledge the student. Although, three of them have to
balance, the teachers not only know the understanding of students but also know
and assess the attitude of students. But, I had heard for curriculum 2015 later
the affective processes are noted.
There are two model of assessment, conventional and standards based model.
From my experience, my teacher when I was in senior high school always make conventional model
assessment, that was after he was teaching he gave me and my friend test and
gave the score and then move to the next material, whereas not all the student understand
about the previous lesson. from that situation, I can reflect that when I become
a teacher I must to teach with the variety of strategies depend on the needs of
student and I have to assess my student whether the student understand or not,
give feedback to my student to improve their knowledge and reflect to my
learning and teaching process to move on the next material and the result
better than previous event.

Cool reflective paper, but how do you know that the year 2015 the curriculum will have that assessment?
ReplyDeletegood arsy, assessment not only have to related with score, but as a good educator we have to assess students' process such as use assessments as learning, hence we know is the student understand or not
