This week I learned about effective teaching and learning, Mrs.Mima show me a video about teacher's teaching activity in the elementary class to teach Tematik. I remember when I was in senior high school, I ever taught Tematik for a student in the elementary school first class and I like the concept of Tematik because students can learn many courses and make a connection, then the teacher can use time well to teach many courses.
I think the teaching method in the video is good enough, but my guess is not really right because I am not focus on the teacher's way to assess her students knowledge and her voice to teach was so loud.
PETA tell me detailed that effective teaching and learning are not enough in teaching method and learning activity only but also in the whole activities at the class such as opening, activities, closing, and the assessment.
Assess students can not be perfunctory, should be based on the goals or learning objective and individually. May teacher can divide students in groups to teach them or ask them to do an assignments but teacher still have to assess students knowledge or ability one by one . In addition, it is better if teacher let students do a reflection about the topic in the end of the class, so students can get a conclusion about the topic. In the other hand, the teacher must focus on the time, do not let the course be fast when the time was approach to end.
At the end of the PETA class, Mrs.Mima ask my friends and I to made a lesson plan in group and in the next meeting we will do a role play the lesson plan. Wow I really feel interest, happy and spirited in the PETA class :) we made a lesson plan only in the 10 minutes then should be practice it. I can wait for it.

I feel happy and interest in the PETA class. there is so many characteristics to be an effective teachers and this is my homework as a candidate of teacher to be able to combine the various method and able to make a class fun but still considered about the meaningful students about the materials. great reflection :D
