Last week, I learned about effective and ineffective lessons in PETA class. My friends and I watched a movie about a teacher who gave lessons to her students. They learned about family members, colours, and count numbers from 1 to 10. There was effective and also ineffective lesson in that movie.
In opening activity, teacher was so kind, friendly and fun. she can take attention from students, so she can give the lessonto students easily. The teacher also asked students to sing a song together as icebreaking to make the students have fun in that class. She gave the lesson about family members, colours, and count number 1 to 10 by giving examples. she also asked students to observe in outdoor to explain about colours. I think this activity also can make students not bored if they just in the class.
Unfortunately, there was also some of ineffective lessons that made students bored like telling story. When teacher told them story about "rambutan", it made them bored, some of them was sleepy, and some of them did not listen what teacher said.
If I may reflect about the lesson in PETA class last week, i want to say that there was so many effective lessons. Why? because in opening, we watched movie about effective and ineffective lesson that make me think that if I am a teacher, I have to prepare about what will I do in my class. in PETA class, there was effective lesson about taxonomy bloom and understanding by Design (UbD). It is about how we (as a teacher) can make the lesson plan that can make students get the lesson easily. Making the lesson plan is not that easy because we also have to know about the standard competency that must be reached by students. We also have to know about taxonomy bloom and UbD so we can make the activites that can make students reach the standard competency, but they can still have fun.
Thanks for Bu Mima and PETA class that give me more knowledge and give me effective activity in the lesson. so I can get knowledge abotu what should I do in my class later as a teacher.

we have to be more care to think how to give good activities to students, so that they won't only get the experience, but also the content.

I agree with you that we have to considered the intellectually meaningful but still make a learning process is fun. That is not easy absolutely but nothing impossible that we can do it I think. We can used UBD to achieve that:D
