Sixth E-Reflection PETA of Rina

Multiple Intelligences and Bloom Taxonomy

In PETA class I learned about Multiple Intelligences and Bloom Taxonomy that should be happen in class. My friend and I did a practice; make classroom activities that consist of Multiple Intelligences or Bloom Taxonomy. I think multiple intelligences can be a way to transfers a knowledge, such as remember the formula by a song for audio students. I remember my lecturer statement in my first semester. She said that each student has more than one intelligence but there is one intelligence that dominates students’ ability. Hence, I think students who have visual intelligence don’t mean that they can’t do calculation. So as the next generation of teacher, I need to be creative when I use multiple intelligences in my classroom, not only use “sing a song or make a song” for students who have audio intelligence, then not always ask students who has logical thinking ability to calculate something.
My friend and I choose Bloom Taxonomy in my classroom, actually I want to use multiple intelligences but my lecturer asked us to use bloom taxonomy. My friend and I feel confused but we try it, and it turns out that bloom taxonomy is not very difficult if we want to try it. I think bloom taxonomy is the basic one to make education in Indonesia be better than before, because teacher have to increase students’ ability and assignments’ level.

  1. Heiii Rina great reflection :D
I agree that bloom taxonomy as a basic one to make education in Indonesia be better.
Why ? because by bloom taxonomy we can see how far the ability of our students.
From that we can know our students thinking area, HOTS or LOTS?
Hence we can make improvement in learning activities.

  3. Rina I like your statment which you not only aks to your students who have logical thinking ability. So how you teach? still related with their intelligences or how?

  4. Rina, I like your reflection.
But I am still confusing. Mathematics is logical subject and how can we provide other intelligence?
Ok, everyone has more than one intelligence, it should be one thing that have to be underline.

In reality, we should concern about curriculum and curriculum makes us, as a teacher, have limited time to explore the material.

is there any suggest for this situation?
Actually, we just want to cover all of intelligences, right?
But there is not enough time to do it.
