My 11th Week Reflection

By. Arsyiyatul Alawiyah

On Monday 28th November in PETA class, it was very interesting for me. Mrs. Mima asked to my friends and I to draw the picture of animal. It so very difficult for me, it was make me shocked when she asked to me draw it. In my opinion, for what she asked us to draw? I really, really cannot draw, moreover the picture is abstract there was many perspective I have seen.
When I and my friends had done draw that picture, she asked to post it in the wall. Wow? That was very embarrassed moment, it because my picture it was very good. But, there was Funny picture who made Dasrizal. It is very funny because his picture isn’t like an animal in the slide. From this lesson I can reflect that the people have different intelligences. For example, in PETA class I know that Dasrizal has intelligences in musical and he was really, really, like music than drawing. I am too, I prefer to solve the math problem than drawing. Not only intelligences I learned, but also about assessment.
After we draw and post the picture, we have to assess our friend’s picture that has a good picture. When I was assess the picture I was confused how to assess that picture. From that activities I can reflect to assess something we must have criteria which has you will make score. For example, we must use rubric to assess the student assignment or have other standard. Moreover, it more important thing for make criteria you must make objective standards, because if it subjective I cannot assess as well as objective standards. If we make a score from objective standards, we can accountable the score to the student. The student can make prediction and high expectation from the assignment if they are know the standards of assessment.

  1. yes, we have to make criteria such as rubric, but do you have any idea how to assess picture of students who has audio ability like dasrizal? is the rubric will be same with another?

    I agreed with your reflection,
As a teacher, We must use rubric and assess objectively. but I think, it's difficult to assess objectively, when I assess friends' picture in Mrs. Mima class, I still assess subjectively..

  3. Hey Arsy, nice reflection :)

I wanna discuss something, are you sure that rubric will give "an objective score" for them? I think when we use it, we still use our subjectivity when we have to decide their score belongs to 0, or 1, 0r 2, etc. what do you think? :D
