Last week, in PETA class, we have learned about
assessment. Do you remember about our activity? We drew a picture like the
original picture on slide. I think it is simple, right? But it is so difficult.
Moreover, our picture was not like a original picture. We said “Oh it is not my
ability. It is difficult. I do not have a visual intelligence, or etc.” It is
very interesting. Students have a different ability that to draw as same as the
original picture. So, we as teacher, what should we do? We must assess their
picture.
Okay, I have some opinions. First, we should predict
student’s answer. For example, we divide the pictures that three parts. They
are low, middle, high pictures. They have a different shapes like the original
shape. Second, we must determine the aspects of assessments. We make a rubric
to do assessment. How to make a rubric? I think before we assess their
products, we must develop the objective aspect. I think it is difficult because
we must assess it with objective aspect. What do you think about that?
And then we also know about the character education,
right? Indonesia’s government is developing the character education in school.
I think it is OK. But how to assess this character education? Last seminar at
SSE last week discussed it. One of audiences asked the speaker that assessment
which is used to assess character education. The speaker answered that the
government only apply it in school stages. To assessment problem, it is not
yet. Okay, now, if we are teacher, what should we do to assess the character
education? We should use the subjective or objective aspects? I am still
confused about that. It is very difficult for me. Please help me. Thank you so

ReplyDeleteFirst, I wanna ask about "visual learner", do you think that visual learner has a good ability in drawing? Because I believe that I'm kind a visual, but my draweing is not really good, hahha.
The second, what do you think about the rubric itself? How far the objectiveness that is contained in the rubric? :D

as you said before mba, character education which is assess for affective aspect is difficult to assess, it just for students' applying. Honestly I still confused about it too.. ^^ ( bisa tuh mar gu komen pake akun lu)
