How to Give Assessment for Our Students?

image
In 11th meeting we learned about how to assess the students. Firstly, I did not know why Mrs. Mima told Siluth, Imam, and Mul for clapped their hands in front of the class. After that, other friends and I asked to assess who is the best applause between them? My friends and I gave different opinions. Our opinion about the best applause is different, most of all who assess subjectively. It turns out that meeting learned about assessment. Next, Mrs. Mima asked to draw a picture, after that each of us has to assess other friends’ picture. Unfortunately, some of us even I gave assess subjectively.
I just realized that to assess is not easy. When I was Senior High School, I thought that the teachers were easy to assess my assignment but it was wrong.  In my opinion there are two ways to assess students. Firstly, as a teacher, I should not be carelessly assessing my student’s tasks. When I give some tasks for my students, I have to give a rubric for them, so that they can know anything that I want to assess. Not easy to make rubric, I must make rubric clearly. Secondly, to become a teacher, I should not be assessing subjectively because it is unfair for my students. I have to assess objectively as much as possible.
Again and again to become a teacher is not easy but it is my job. I do not want to be a teacher who assess carelessly and subjectively.
