Assessment
In PETA class, my
lecturer asked my friends and I to discuss and did some practice in assess. Before
that, when I did school experience, my friend who in different school said that
she can’t assess students objectively because she always looks students
attitude and effort before the exam, I think so do I.
When my lecturer
asked me and my pair to assess my friends’ way to clap hand, I almost choose my
friend who has a calm face as the best but I remember that I have to assess objectively
so we make an instrument of assessment and have to be obedient it.
Then, when my
group and I have to assess my friends’ picture, we make an instrument again. The
instrument has to can be assessing objectively. The practice made me think “Oh
My God, it was difficult to assess objectively and should be clear what part
will be assessing, hence as the educator I have many works beside develop my
pedagogy skill and knowledge” :).
After discuss the
instrument and select that has the best picture, I agree with my friend’s
question to my lecturer “Is the creativity of students can be assessing
objectively?” then I have one question again “Is the reflection of students can
be assessing objectively? How?”. I don’t know my perception is right or wrong
but I think reflection is how students think and response the topic to them, so
how it can be assess? Anybody want to share? :).

I think reflection can be assess too, for example what we want students to reflect, is there a main area that teacher want students to write? then, reflection can assess students understanding too, how far they understand the material that have been learned .. ^^ that's my opinion

ReplyDeleteThen, how teacher assess it? by rubric? Then how to decide that the students have a good reflection or not? By rubric? Is it objevtive enough? What do you think guys? :D
