Three Kinds of Assessments

(Of, As, For)

In that meeting, I learned about three kinds of assessment; they are assessment of learning, assessment as learning, and assessment for learning. I just realized that assessments have many kinds and I found out it in PETA’s class. I was thought that my teacher in Senior High School always gave the score for each assignment easily but it turns out not as easy as it. Teachers should have characteristics when they assess the students. Through three kinds of assessments can help me to assess my students later.

Assessment of Learning

In my opinion, assessment of learning is teachers who design learning strategy. Teacher can use it when they want to know students’ understanding. Teachers have to make learning strategy which appropriate with learning goal before they teach in the class.

Assessment as Learning

In my opinion, assessment as learning is how the students to assess their self or their friends about the assignment. Ways to assess such as students give reflection after learn in the class, students give some opinion about their own work or friends’ work, and etc.

Assessment for Learning

In my opinion, assessment for learning is continuously. It means that teachers give some exercises is not only give one time but repeatedly. Teachers also give feedback for students after activities in the class.

That’s all about my reflection in 8^th meeting. Honestly, I still less deep about this material. In that meeting, Mrs. Mima did not give feedback which make me understood about this maybe because of me who lack of understanding about this J
