What is the differences between assessment (of, for and as) learning?

Last week in PETA class I had learn about assessment, there are three kinds of assessment there are : Assessment for learning, assessment as learning and assessment of learning.  Honestly, till end of the class I still confuse to make the difference between three of them. Hmm, I think Mrs. Mima success make their students confused, so she success made their student think critically until end of the class. Although, we read the material about assessment with group and share each other, but when we had to write what the different of them. It is so hard and difficult, after write the different of assessment our result checked by other group and my group checked too the paper of other group. Actually, learn about assessment is not easy it is not clear if the explain just in one meeting.  Although I still confused, but I have own idea about three kinds of assessment.
After discussed with my group, I think the assessment as learning is tell about the ability of students, that the student take an active role in their own learning and assessment. There is reflective question to determine how to better next time.  Assessment of learning it is look like paper test pencil or summative test, it means that the assessment assess at the end of the material for assess the knowledge of student. Assessment for learning  it is most same with assessment as learning because it is measure the process of student ability to do better.
Anyone to share, what kind of assessment better to apply  when teaching later? Should I have to apply all of assessment in same time? How to measure it?

  2. All of them are good to apply when we teach. You have said that Assessment "as" is on going, then "of" is for the end and the "for" is on going too, so that's the answer I think. What do you mean by measure, assessment's function is to measure right?
